The Host–Microbiota Dynamics Group at the Institute for Translational Research (EOC-USI), led by Prof. Giandomenica Iezzi, has published a new study in Cell Host & Microbe. The research shows how the interplay between intratumoral microbiota and host genetic background can influence neutrophil activity and immune responses in colorectal cancer, opening new perspectives for translational immuno-oncology. The study was led by Elisa Sorrenti as first author.
