Best poster award at the 8th Swiss Vascular Research Symposium of the Swiss Society for Microcirculation and Vascular Research (SSMVR)

Chiara Zamboni was awarded the Best Poster 2025 at the 8th Swiss Vascular Research Symposium of the Swiss Society for Microcirculation and Vascular Research (SSMVR), as part of the 25th Meeting of the Union of Vascular Societies of Switzerland held in Luzern, Switzerland, October 23rd, 2025.
The Poster “Biofabrication of a 3D isogenic hiPSC-derived blood brain barrier-on-chip to study vascular dysfunction in Alzheimer’s Disease” is part of a project aiming to develop an advanced 3D blood–brain barrier model from human induced pluripotent stem cells to study cerebrovascular dysfunctions in Alzheimer’s disease. The model will be further expanded by integrating brain organoids to more closely reflect interactions between brain tissue and blood vessels, supporting the study of disease mechanisms and the screening of potential therapies targeting neurovascular alterations.
