How to reach us by car

From the North:

Coming from the North (Zurich-Basel or Germany), follow the A2 highway in direction “Lugano/Chiasso”, take the “Bellinzona Nord” exit and follow the signs for Bellinzona. Continue on the main road for about 3.5 km on Via San Gottardo. Turn right into Viale Giuseppe Motta and then left into Via Mirasole. At the roundabout take the first exit: via Francesco Chiesa. The IRB is in the large yellow building on the left (see map).

From the South:

Coming from the South (Lugano/Chiasso or Italy) follow the A2 highway in direction “San Gottardo/San Bernardino”, and continue to the “Bellinzona Centro” exit. At the exit, follow the signs towards the city centre: use the first lane on the right at the roundbout to enter the city center. Turn left at the second traffic light. At the second roundabout, continue straight ahead and take the second exit. Continue straight ahead on Via Mirasole and at the second roundabout take the third exit: Via Francesco Chiesa. The IRB is in the large yellow building on the left (see map).

Parking:

There is a limited number of parking spaces reserved for IRB guests. Additional parking spaces are available along via Francesco Chiesa.

How to reach us by train

From the north:

Arriving from the North (e.g. Zurich Central), take a southbound train to “Lugano/Chiasso/Milano” until Bellinzona railway station.

From the South:

Choose a northbound train to “Zurich/Basel” until Bellinzona railway station.

From Bellinzona railway station on foot:

The IRB is a 16-minute walk from Bellinzona railway station. As you exit the station, turn left onto Viale Stazione and take the first street on the right (via Claudio Pollandini).

Keep walking until you reach the main road (you will see the Hotel Unione in front of you at the traffic lights). Cross the road and turn left onto Viale Portone. Continue to the roundavout and turn right onto Via Mirasole. Proceed to the second roundabout and turn left onto via Francesco Chiesa. The IRB is in the large yellow building on the left.

From Bellinzona railway station by bus:

Take the bus number 2 in the direction of Giubiasco Stazione (railway station), and get off at the “Bramantino” stop. Walk back few steps and take Via del Bramantino. The IRB is located in the large grey and yellow building on the right.

How to reach us by plane

From Zurich airport (ZRH):

Take a short train ride to “Zurich HB”, the main Zurich station (about 10 minutes away). From there, continue your trip to Bellinzona on a southbound train direction “Lugano/Chiasso/Milano”.

From Milan-Malpensa airport (MXP):

Take the S50 train to “Bellinzona” station.

From Milan-Linate airport (LIN):

Take the bus to “Milano Centrale”. From there, choose a connection with the route “Chiasso/Zurich/Basel” until Bellinzona railway station.
